Do you have trouble defining exactly what you want in your health? Many of us with PCOS know precisely what we don’t want, and never seem to focus only on what it is we truly desire.
Why do we do this? Because it’s SO much easier to focus on the negative – on what we don’t want to happen or experience – than to truly create feelings of positive expectation and gratitude. This “negativity” is fear-based and serves to protect us from pain. Think about how painful it is to live with PCOS already -imagine being DISAPPOINTED when you try to become healthier and don’t see results! Has this happened to you? Then you know how your mind works to protect you from such pain; by doing so, you are kept in a fear-based mentality and, in turn, will never create the results you deserve.
You see, I teach that it takes practice to feel good and expect positive results in your life. And I truly believe, from experience and what I’ve learned from other experts, that it’s the GOOD feelings that bring more good opportunities, results and experiences. As long as we stay in a place of fear, confusion and disappointment, we will never create what we want in our health or in our lives.
So what do you do if you’re in that place of fear, confusion or pain? You start out, step-by-step, and create what you want from a place of love, gratitude and faith. And today, we’re going to do it together.
Step 1: Get yourself in a GOOD place. This “place” is an emotional state where you feel abundant, excited, passionate and as if anything is possible. Clarity comes when your mind is free from fear and limiting beliefs (such as, “that’s not possible!”). So, think of a time in your life, or imagine a time, when you felt on top of the world: fearless, significant, loved, ecstatic…any powerful and positive emotion. Can you remember a time like this or imagine one? Now take a deep breath, and feel it in every part of your body.
Step 2: Once you’re in this elated state, get out a sheet of paper and start writing – as fast as you can – everything you want in your life. Begin with the most important and meaningful things; maybe it’s your health, your relationships, your finances or contribution. When you’re in this positive, powerful emotional state, you will feel like anything is possible. So don’t hold yourself back, write like ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
Step 3: Keep it positive. Try not to list things you don’t want (ie. “I don’t want to be in debt anymore”). Instead list exactly what you DO want (ie. “Make more moolah and save more each month”). Remember, whatever you focus on you get more of – focus on what you want.
Step 4: Hang this list somewhere you can see it everyday. This list will serve as a reminder that you can have ANYTHING in your life – only you can keep yourself from moving forward.
Step 5: Highlight three things from your list that you will act on today. Maybe one of them is, “Lose 25 pounds and have more energy.” Within the three desires you highlight, add an action item to your daily planner. It could be “drink more water” for the one mentioned above, so now you grab your water bottle and keep it with you at all times. Get the picture? List one action item for your three desires and follow through today. You’ll be amazed at how simple and effective this is!

Thanks for the tips. I agree that we should always expect positive results in our life if we do the right thing with it. If you have proper nutrition, expect to have a healthy lifestyle.
