The Best Medicine for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome are being prescribed synthetic medicines for every symptom. We are treated for irregular menstrual cycles, and also for acne, and also for blood sugar imbalance and insulin resistance, and also infertility, and also… The list goes on for the amount of medications we could take for this condition.

It confounds me that we treat the body as if it were many separate pieces, when it’s really one connected organism. The body is whole; it is one. And it should be treated wholly. Each of these symptoms we experience with PCOS is connected with the other symptoms.

There is one particular theory on PCOS that says that insulin resistance (cause unknown) creates a surplus in androgen levels (male hormones), thereby causing irregular menstrual cycles, acne, facial and abnormal body hair, baldness and irritability. When the menstrual cycle is irregular, you’re not ovulating and therefore cannot successfully get pregnant.

I fully believe in addressing the body as one organism, and treating the root cause. This starts by eating nourishing foods that create a stable blood sugar environment, therefore making the cells in the body more “sensitive” to insulin; exercising to create a positive response in blood sugar and insulin levels, while purging the body of waste and promoting more energy (exercise is one of those funny things where you get more energy by expending more energy); and taking holistic supplements that fill in the missing gaps of nutrition you’re not getting from foods.

Once you start feeding your body the nutrients it craves, and give it a means to expend the excess energy, toxins and waste it builds up, you will see a tremendous response in your health. As you take holistic supplements, you’ll notice that your body is encouraged to make improvements on its own (as you’re giving it necessary nutrients). When taking synthetic medications, you’re allowing the “medicine” to “act” for your body and treat the symptom it’s targeting. High-grade supplements, on the other hand, allow your body to heal itself.

Just as an FYI, when you really think about it, supplements were created from the herbs, plants and natural foods that were already here for us to use. Synthetic medications were once in a natural state, but were tampered with by humans to target a specific need.

When you apply these three combinations of nutrition, exercise and supplements, you will notice so many positive changes. Women have reported PMS symptoms decreasing, regulated menstrual cycles, the ability to conceive naturally, fabulous-looking skin and soaring energy. This combination allows your body to piece itself back together and heal.

Let me ask you this question – have you really dedicated yourself to eating wholesome foods, regularly exercising and taking key supplements as a means to treat PCOS? If not, you’re missing out on a life of ultimate health, a life that grants you the freedom to feel amazing and do whatever you want.

I don’t know about you, but when I was fatigued and carrying excess weight, I didn’t want to do anything. I didn’t want to leave the house, and I certainly didn’t think about pursuing a better, more satisfying life when I was so miserable.

You do have a choice. You can listen to your body and give it what it’s been longing for. If you’re not “hearing” anything from your body, it’s probably been a long time since you’ve paid attention to its needs. You may have been listening to others instead of your own innate wisdom.

I encourage you to consider preventative medicine, consisting of wholesome nutrition, regular exercise and holistic supplements as a means to beat PCOS naturally and prevent any future health problems. Yes, this way takes time. You must be patient and persistent, but it’s worth it. I would do it the same way if I had to go back to the day I was diagnosed with PCOS. I could have taken the prescriptions, but I knew better. And now I am living it. You can too, friend.
