We have become so “reactive” in our health. The very thought that we can create amazing health, and that things don’t just happen to us, is an absurd idea for most women. The hard-core truth is that what we’re thinking on the inside manifests on the outside.
Let me give you an example. Let’s say you’re getting ready for an event, a huge event, and you’re the head speaker. You have to speak in front of thousands of people – for an hour. How would that make you feel? Nauseated? Queasy? Some people have even vomited or passed out when presented with this type of situation. Why? Because the stress and anxiety of being uncomfortable yields a physical response, whether it’s digestion issues, breaking out in a rash or feeling faint.
Our bodies respond to the constant emotions we feel. If you’re feeling angry, bitter, or frustrated about PCOS, it’s high-time you changed your feeling state. Studies have shown that feeling these negative emotions creates a response in hormones, including cortisol and andrenalin. Hormonal imbalance like this can lead to overweight, fatigue, digestion issues and more.
The best way to change your feeling state is to first be aware of how you’re feeling all the time. Are you complaining about your condition every chance you get? Are you angry at your body or the world for allowing this to happen to you? Accept the fact that PCOS has happened, take a deep breath, and know that this is not your fate. Not if you don’t want it to be.
Your Easy Success homework:
Accept responsibility that it is you, and you alone, who can be proactive and DOsomething about your condition. Remember, your doctor, your family and everyone else in your life is not responsible for your well-being. You are. Accept this fact and take responsibility for your health.
Once you’re aware with how you’re feeling, and you accept responsibility for it (no blaming), start to ask questions. Ask YOURSELF things like, “What can I do about PCOS? What are my options?” Then you will start to get your answers. These are the same questions I started asking myself once I stopped blaming others for my situation and took full responsibility. And, like always, I got good answers. It’s funny how you get good answers when you ask good questions.
Lastly, listen to yourself and decide what you want. Not what your family wants. Not what your doctor wants. What you want in regards to your health. Shut out the noise, the constant commotion, and just listen to what your body is telling you it wants. You will always get your answer.
